Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
When you fill out the Get Involved form: your first and last name, email address, phone number if you give one, and how you would like to get involved.
When you create a member account: your name and email address, handled by our sign-in provider.
When you browse: anonymous, aggregate visit statistics (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type). This does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
When you use the “Have a question?” helper: nothing. Answers are picked in your browser and your questions are not sent to us or stored.
2. How we use it
- To reply to you and connect you with volunteer, sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- To send you updates you asked for, such as the Monthly Update. You can opt out at any time.
- To run member accounts and send account emails, such as a welcome message.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Services that help us run the site
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Vercel hosts the website and provides the cookieless visit statistics.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our team and sends account emails.
- Clerk manages member sign-in.
- Zeffy processes donations. When you give, you leave this site and Zeffy’s own privacy policy applies. We receive a record of your gift for acknowledgment and tax purposes.
- YouTube plays embedded videos in privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies until you press play.
4. Cookies
The public pages of this site do not set tracking or advertising cookies. Member sign-in uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in. Embedded videos may set cookies from YouTube once you play them.
5. How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and contact details for as long as we are in touch with you about our programs, and delete them when you ask. Donation records are kept as long as the law requires for nonprofit bookkeeping.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing hello@communityreimagined.org. California residents have these rights under state law, and we extend them to everyone. We will not treat you differently for using them.
7. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
8. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to the information we hold is limited to the people who need it to run our programs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions about your privacy go to:
